How additive manufacturing can affect your company and business model

On 19 May and 23 June, Sirris and Vlerick Business School will organise an interactive executive seminar on how additive manufacturing (AM) can radically change your business model, supply chain and company. Industry and innovation experts will offer you crucial insights through workshops. We will visit Siemens in Amberg, Germany and get some insights on business cases Siemens has. Clear examples of how to create profitable business with new technologies.

As an executive you are considering to introduce additive manufacturing in your company, but what will be the consequences for your business model and how can it affect your market share?

The joint expertise of Sirris and Vlerick Business School will offer you all essential information, with a focus on business opportunities in an environment of changing market dynamics. You will learn about the state of the art in AM, what the potential business models are, how to successfully implement innovations and disruptive technologies and what the financial consequences can be.

The seminar includes a Siemens site visit in Amberg, Germany. Siemens will present the position of Additive manufacturing (AM) within its digital factory and how it will evolve in the coming years, how AM is implemented throughout the Siemens group and what the impact is on their business models. Mass customization is one of the advantages Siemens experiences by using AM technologies. You will have the opportunity to discuss these themes with their experts during the site visit.

During the two day seminar you will have plenty of time to exchange thoughts and ideas with like-minded executives and experts.
